Operation Windfall

Operation Windfall was perhaps the most rapidly written piece of military policy in the history of mankind. In less than one hour after Iota 4 reported its kidnapping by Slavers, Vice Admiral Yuri Marigov had drafted a justification for a full scale deployment of Keeper forces to The Hills. Backed by Admiral Tobias Hessen and approved by Fleet Admiral Nicholas Cain, the Operation was immediately put into effect, with the 1st Armada launching toward the Hills before it was even officially implemented.

Windfall was seen as a chance to do more than just rescue Iota 4 and put the Slaver operation to rest. The Admiralty considered it an opportunity to establish a stronger foothold in the area, and put a stop to other criminal operations while showcasing Keeper military power and extending their authority to more remote colonies and stations.

After the Thinker attack on Keeper forces in the area, the nature of the operation has changed to containment. A Keeper fleet headed by Admiral Tobias Hessen has begun probing into Thinker territory while preventing any retaliatory strikes beyond the Hills.
