Shark

The Shark R4 class Destroyer is an increasingly rare sight in the Keeper military. 3,000 feet in length, the Shark can run off a skeleton team of 20 or a full load of 1,000, though a typical crew is 300. It’s primary purpose is assaulting large targets such as space stations and other capitol ships. With the end of the Fight for Freedom, however, the need for such firepower is minimal, and the Shark has little room for Dropships, Interceptors, and other vital tactical craft. Even so, it still has plenty of utility as a sheer intimidating force, and often acts as an escort to Stingray class Escort Carriers.

Sharks typically have a single dropship/aerospace bay and two large primary weapon systems (often magnetic or energy based), as well as numerous defense systems and multiple power generators to offset the power drain. Like most Keeper capitol ships, the armor is a layered reflective/reactive plating, while a light magnetic and gravitic shielding arrays help deflect shots from magnetic and ballistic weapons. They also feature an extremely powerful gravitic manipulator, which can be used to pull smaller craft close, prevent escape, and aid in boarding operations in rare cases where Sharks are given a large troop compliment to act as colossal assault craft.
